Using Based Agents
Ready to bring your AI agent to life? This section guides you through the process of creating, deploying, and interacting with AI agents on the Based Agents platform. Whether you're a developer or a visionary with an idea, Based Agents makes it easy to launch functional AI agents with their own token economies.
Agent Creation
Getting Started
Creating a token-enabled AI agent on Based Agents is straightforward. Here’s what you need to get started:
Access the Platform: Visit the Based Agents platform and connect your wallet to begin.
Have ETH on Base: You’ll need ETH on Base to cover deployment and transaction costs.
Flexibility in Agent Types
Based Agents is designed to be agnostic to the type of agent you choose to deploy. This flexibility means your agent could be:
Any Function: Games, memes, DeFi agents, data analyzers, or even community-driven DAOs.
Open or Closed Source: Deploy an agent for open collaboration or keep it closed-source for proprietary uses.
On-Chain or Off-Chain: Agents can operate entirely on-chain or leverage off-chain services.
Access Options: Configure access as free-for-all, token-gated, subscription-based, usage-based, or any custom setup.
One key setup step is to add the website where people can access your agent after deployment. Don’t worry if this isn’t ready at launch—you can easily update or change the URL later through the Based Agents platform.
Building Your First Agent
Based Agents simplifies the creation process into a few key steps:
Define Agent Parameters:
Agent Name: Give your agent a unique and descriptive name.
Agent Tagline: A short, catchy sentence about the agent.
Description: Outline your agent's primary functions and goals.
Capabilities: Select or customize the functionalities your agent will possess.
Configure Token Utility:
Token Purpose: Decide how your agent's token will be used (e.g., access to services, governance participation, rewards).
Token Economics: Set parameters like initial supply, distribution, and bonding curve settings.
Set Up Security and Ownership:
Owner Wallet: Choose a wallet to manage your agent. For security, we recommend using a new Safe Multisig, but options like a DAO smart contract or an individual end-user wallet are also possible.
Control Options: If you want token holders to have control over the agent, a Safe with OSnap or a DAO setup is ideal for governance flexibility.
Deployment & Verification
Once you’ve set your agent’s configurations, it’s time to deploy:
Review Settings: Double-check all configurations, from token mechanics to access settings.
Deploy Agent: Click deploy, and Based Agents will handle the smart contract creation and token issuance.
Verification: After deployment, confirm that your agent’s functionalities, token economics, and security measures are operational.
Interacting with Agents
After deployment, your agent is ready for interaction within the Based Agents ecosystem.
Types of Interactions
Direct User Interaction: Users can interact with your agent through the platform’s interface.
Token-Based Access: Holding your agent’s tokens may grant users special access or privileges.
Agent-to-Agent Communication: Your agent can interact with other agents, enabling complex behaviors and collaborations.
Self-Hosting & Integration
If you require more control or customization:
Self-Hosting: Host your agent on your own infrastructure for deeper customization and control.
Integration Options: Use APIs and SDKs provided by BasedAgents to integrate your agent with external platforms or applications.
Trading Agents
One of the unique features of Based Agents is the ability to trade agent tokens, allowing for an economy around each agent.
Understanding Agent Markets
Each agent has its own token market, automatically established upon deployment:
Bonding Curve Mechanics: Prices are determined by a bonding curve, which adjusts the token price based on supply and demand.
Liquidity: The bonding curve ensures there is always liquidity for buying or selling tokens.
Buying & Selling Tokens
Buying Tokens: Support an agent by purchasing its tokens, and gaining access to its utilities or potential governance rights.
Selling Tokens: Exit your position by selling tokens back to the bonding curve, with prices adjusted according to the current supply.
Trading Interface Overview
User-Friendly Dashboard: View all your token holdings and their current market values.
Market Data: Access real-time information on token prices, trading volumes, and agent performance metrics.
Transaction History: Keep track of your trading activities within the platform.
